Pastor David was born in Hong Kong and attended a Christian school at an early age. He and his family immigrated to the United States in 1976 and began attending church regularly and was subsequently baptized. Moved by God to respond to an altar call at a Missions Conference during his senior year in high school, he surrendered himself to God’s calling for future full-time ministry.
Upon graduating from college in 1983, Pastor David began his career as a software engineer. In 1993, he and Betty were married and have three children: David Junior, Jonathan, and Samantha. In response to God’s earlier calling to full-time ministry, he left his career and moved the family to Texas for seminary training at Dallas Theological Seminary in 1996.
Pastor David graduated from DTS with a Masters of Theology degree in 2001 and returned to the Bay Area to begin his 15 years of pastoral ministry. In 2016, Pastor David began serving at Tri-City Chinese Baptist Church as the Cantonese pastor and continues to fulfill his lifetime calling in serving the Lord.
