If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.

We have a very exciting Friday night children’s program called AWANA (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed-2 Timothy 2:15. Awana is an international, Bible-centered youth ministry providing local churches with weekly clubs and programs for pre-schoolers through junior high schoolers. Our goal is to reach boys and girls, and their families, with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.

Awana began in 1950 as a youth program at the North Side Gospel Center in Chicago, Illinois. Today, there are more than 9,000 churches in the United States that have Awana Clubs. Awana can also be found in over 2,700 churches in more than 110 other countries, from Argentina to Zimbabwe, from Iceland to Australia.

TCCBC offers a number of exciting AWANA clubs and programs, each geared to the needs of a particular age range as follows:

Cubbies: is the Awana Club for preschoolers during the two years prior to regular kindergarten, usually three- and four-year-olds. Cubbies is unique because it supports and maintains parents as the primary source of spiritual nurturing by directly involving them in the teaching and learning process. Cubbies uses the fundamental Awana elements of games and activities, Bible memorization, handbooks, and awards.

Sparks: is the Awana Club for kindergartners, first-graders, and second-graders. Each club meeting has three parts. In Game Time, Sparkies enjoy entertaining games played on the Awana Game Circle. During Green Meadow Time, Sparkies gather for their age-appropriate Bible lesson. During Sparkle Time, clubbers recite Bible verses from memory, complete handbook sections, and earn awards. Sparky, the friendly firefly, appears throughout the Bible-based materials to encourage clubbers to complete their handbook achievements.

Truth & Training: is a new Awana third- through eighth-grade program. This exciting program features increased focus on Scripture application, an improved club structure, a colorful new look, fun characters and more. We want our Awana clubbers to know the truth of God’s Word, and we want to train them to serve Him in their everyday lives. We know that many of today’s Awana leaders were yesterday's clubbers. Our goal is that many of today’s clubbers will become tomorrow’s leaders.

TCCBC continue to divide our Truth & Training clubs by age and boys and girls as follows:

        Chums, girls in grades 3-4
            Guards, girls in grades 5-6
Truth & Training, boys in grades 3-6

We encourage parents who are interest in getting their children involved in the AWANA program to contact us through email or by calling the church.
